Here's the best I've managed so far trying to create a decent-looking G-scale shingled roof using the laser cutter.  This is 3/16" or so thick plexiglass. Still need to adjust the cut speed a little, so the grooves look more natural. The goal is to create the impression of lapped shingles, even though it's cut on flat stock.
